Everything that lives is designed to end. We are perpetually trapped in a never ending spiral of life and death. However, life is all about the struggle within this cycle.

Well a lot of it was just stuff they did everyday. For example, if you write a biography about someone, you're not going to say that he brushed his teeth everyday. Something that is considered common knowledge in today's world and it was the same back then, they didn't feel the need to bring it up

I don't remember who said it, but it's that phrase. Those who don't learn from the past are doomed to repeat it

And that actually scared some of the European men because they did not have the same hygiene standards. And so they were afraid that these big beautiful men would come over and woo their women and seal them away

I'm happy about it because a lot of the stuff we've been discovering shows a very complex and forward-thinking civilization different than what was originally believed they were. The biggest one I see is they had very good hygiene bathing regularly and brushing their hair everyday.

They were innovators for sure creating vessels that were able to cross oceans and rivers. But not everyone is perfect. Every civilization has their problems and the Norse were not excluded from this.

I always recommend that if you're interested in something you go and look at it and find the details for yourself. Make sure for yourself that the details being told to you are correct.

I understand that and when I began my journey into this belief I was very toxic towards Christians for for what I saw as them stealing. But once I did my own research and started looking into it more, that's when I found out what I've been explaining here.

It start off as a friendly gesture, just someone coming to spread the word of their God. And they were received quite well. A lot of Norsemen listen to The stories and eventually overall this Christian deity was accepted as one of the new gods. Not one that they followed but they didn't deny him

Sadly there's not . At least nothing that's been discovered yet. Most of what we have have a Christian influence of historians preserving what they could for historic reasons. The issue with those is they have heavy Christian influence from their opinions and such.

You make it sound like it was a quick thing. That there was no fighting over it and back alley deals.

No, It definitely wasn't a nice transition. Threatened with losing their land, their family, or even their lives. They did the best they could with the situation they had. Publicly claiming conversion while practicing quietly in their homes. And doing the best to hold on to the traditions they could

Most games have official guides anyway. It's not cheating to use the material given.

I do believe that way too many churchgoers listen to what the preacher says on what they should do and interpret the Bible in their own way. They Fall short when it comes to putting it into practice.

Christians didn't steal Christmas from the pagans. When they were being forced to convert, the pagans held on to some of their traditions and blended it into their forced Christian practice. The church adapted it into their teachings so Christians could celebrate as well.

Working at a game store I overhear it all the time. Someone will be asking me about a game that they like if we have it in stock or if we have played it. Looking for conversation And another customer will randomly blurt out and take over the conversation about how it's such a bad game.
