This picture always kind of cracks me up. I was coming back from Sen Reids breakfast breakfast and Senator Dean Heller was coming out of the elevator and stopped to give me a hug and he said “yeah I know you were going to see your other favorite senator from Nevada”. lol

my dad was born in 1926. He raised eight children. I was number six. In the early 70s he was a justice of peace in Golvonda Nevada. He talked to his 28 year-old daughter in a wheelchair to run for state assembly in 1994. I’m so thankful that after my accident I had my dad until he was 94.

One of the most thrilling parts of my life working on accessible taxis and that taxi behind us is the Mv1 the only accessible vehicle manufactured that way. This is with the DC taxi commissioner Ron Linton in Washington DC. I think this is 2013.

so did you know that riding the Amtrak is very accessible. I took the Amtrak last year from Salt Lake to Reno to go see my sister and all of my friends in Reno and guess what on my trip back this is my conductor. He happens to be one of my very best friends grandson. What a treat.#amtrak

an important part of being independent is having a seat at the table. The picture of me and Matt my friend at the ITAR conference in Florida earlier last year one of the greatest things I did I think was helping with advocacy for accessible taxis this is still a much needed conversation.

we live in uncertain times. I seem to take great comfort sometimes thinking about my friend Harry Reid, who I replaced my profile picture with I will remember him saying to me in a text how proud he was of me for my strength. Be Strong America.
