For 20-30 year olds who were witnessing genocide they were not seeing a clear distinction.
I agree it was indeed shooting themselves in the foot.
Hopefully the next Democrat to run will draw more clear lines about that.

Except many groups are racial minorities within America and are global majorities outside of America and are part of patriarchal societies, steeped in misogyny and religion and while they understand in America it’s borne of the white nationalist agenda, for them it still caters to male supremacy.
