after deliverance (don’t get me started) bluegrass/the banjo gained the reputation of being associated with not appalachians, but a monstrous caricature. now anytime many people hear banjo, they think of this shameful & disgusting depiction of appalachians. reclaim it! #banjo #bluegrass #appalachia
