I don't mind planning, shopping, preparing and serving. I'll even put leftovers away. But someone else over the age of nine better do the dishes. Even with a dishwasher, someone still needs to handwash, dry, put away, and wipe off the table. Wipe the darn table.

It totally kills the creativity. I tell myself "Just another day lost." I stop the clock. In reality, it may be days or weeks for the muse again. Go easy on yourself. It's supposed to be soul-satisfying. But I don't earn my living by it. I save my guilt for all the other things I can't do.
