You can’t hurt me, I root for the Mets
Every morning at 8am (it was June into July, he was born on the 4th!) I walked a half mile to an amazing donut shop, bought a half dozen and walked back. I would save my husband one for when he got back from work 😂 and I knit and watched TV and friends came over for lunch. It wasn’t easy!

I had a prenatal massage on my due date and sobbed for ten minutes about still being pregnant. I did ALL the pseudoscience and my darling was a week late 🙃🙃🙃 wouldn’t change it though ❤️

And this is of COURSE your fault

The dodgers won their division every single year since 2013 except once when they came in second. That they didn’t win a ring until 2020 had more to do with the randomness of playoffs, now they have 3 and are going after the 4th with as much gusto as ever.

Just not as much as the Dodgers!
December 11, 2025 at 8:41 PM
Wow, this is a Hall of Fame level Bluesky reply you got 😂

I think he wanted the casino much more than he wanted a ring

Neither of those signings were sufficient for a contender. Winning teams sign *more* players than they think they need (just look at the Dodgers). No reason a team owned by Steve Cohen should have to bank on dice-roll prospects and NL Central-level competition.

If you were watching every Contreras game, you must have missed some Pete games. Nothing against Contreras, he’s aging relatively well, but it would be an instant downgrade for an offense that has already had one major downgrade this offseason.

Gotta be real hard to cut down deliveries when everything cost twice as much in the city compared to online

He’s 33 and coming off a 20 homer season, I wouldn’t put all my offensive eggs in that basket.

Part of rationality is accounting for past action, so from that perspective you’re the rational one.

I once accidentally took my stimulant and my kids stimulant (both max doses of different drugs) and it was deeply unpleasant but I was also mildly concerned that it wasn’t worse.

If he does, I will joyfully eat crow. But with Uncle Steve playing with his new casino toy, I don’t see it happening.

Like, I get that they underperformed last year and some folks had to go. But publicly stating they won’t spend to fill the MASSIVE gap in pitching and then dumping two players that actually did their part tells me that this ain’t about building a winner.

This is one of the most normal things he’s ever said, somehow
December 11, 2025 at 1:07 AM
Yeah, it’s all just miserable. I don’t begrudge anyone how they phrase their misery
December 10, 2025 at 8:22 PM
Yeah, banking on prospects is the tried and true cost-savings approach. No risk!
