Yesterday we walked the Empire Trail to look out over the dunes at Sleeping Bear Dunes and to spread a friend’s ashes in a place he loved.

What city is missing? What city that has ALWAYS been called out for crime? Detroit. You know why? Our mayor is a white man. Who btw had been one of the best mayors for all of his constituents bringing Detroit back from the brink.

We call it Rose of Sharon here in Michigan. I took this yesterday. I do believe it is in the hibiscus family.

How do people live without a dog? I hope I never have too. This is Roo in full protection stance because he heard the neighbors. He’s gentle and kind but I wouldn’t come at me fast with your hand raised.
