I've been playing ffxiv since 2013 and wanting to go to fan fests since they were announced. It's definitely been hard seeing the US vs others over the years. I meant to imply they weren't good, but I also meant they weren't awful. Having been to other major cons, US FF falls short unfortunately :(

Conventions in general are fun, but to be honest, historically the US fanfests havent really been great. The venues are poorly managed, they dont go as all out with decor and supply for ffxiv merch is meh. I think it would be better to save money to visit a friend or different con.
