A thatched-roof shop at Shanghai Disneyland called “Laughing Monkey Traders” sits in a rustic, jungle‑themed area. The entrance sign hangs over a shaded doorway, with bamboo and wood elements forming the building’s exterior. To the right of the shop, two bright red trash cans stand beside a wooden fence and dense green foliage. A few guests are partially visible near the edges of the frame.

Back when the Enchanted Forest debuted in Magic Kingdom’s New Fantasyland, even trash cans told a story: stripes for Storybook Circus, faux wood wraps for the forest.

Today? Brown boxes. No texture, no charm, just catalog stock.

Bring back the planks.
