Wish I heard more people saying this. Beyond part of one summer, my work has never been contingent on any really physical labor, but for many in my family that was and is work: up before dawn, heat exhaustion, extreme cold, bad knees by 40… the people who want to cosplay this have no idea

I’ve seen variations on this question in so many places. Do they think they and their parents, siblings, lovers, friends, and children as utterly insulated from disease? Is this part of end-stage terminal capitalism? I don’t wish the pain of such losses on anyone. They clearly wish it for us.

Doing the same rethink. Wishing you well as you try to navigate the decision. We’re trying to get ourselves in a headspace of being at peace with potentially losing the money — challenging but very necessary.

What is HAPPENING to this man? I am utterly confounded by the willingness to let a demonstrably corrupt and craven administration box Democrats into preemptive concessions. Warner knows good and well this is not some HR process, so why is he sea cucumbering his guts out?
