It's human nature. Or, at least, some humans. The rest of us have to help the vulnerable ones. It's always been that way. The con men win occasionally. We can still take them down.

All of us are like someone else, so tell personal stories about how proposed or in progress cuts/changes will impact your life.

I would argue that while none of this is ethical or legal, it is normal if you look at human history. Sludge and greed is always working its way to the top, then knocked back, and the cycle starts again.

Even more than that, why should you be financing the guy that is trying to "delete" your social security?
