I guess I’m here now, so I guess I’ll introduce myself. My name is Nava & I taught Latin to young students for just shy of 25 years. Still heavily involved in pedagogy & teacher training, but working on reception of heroines of Gk myth in YA in the comp lit dept at Northwestern. Giving up 🐦 hurts.

let's get those covid & flu shots peeps!Older vaccines like Dtap need a booster. If you're of a certain age/have underlying conditions, check & see if you can get your shingles, pneumonia & rsv. They lowered the age for some things, ask! Don't forget to take aging parents & get your kids caught up

I taught at a "selective enrollment" Chicago Public School for 14 years. At one point I had to survey the number of languages spoken at home among the student body (which was <300 kids). 37.

It seems to have arrived! I had just gotten mine a week ago tonight at Marianos (Kroger) when CVS called to ask if I was the one who left the letter asking them to order Novavax because they had it now! Hurrah! Now I have to start thinking about our flu shots...
