Why are we bailing out Argentina but defunding cancer research?

Why are we bailing out Argentina but defunding education?

Why are we bailing out Argentina but doing all of the things listed on the WH ‘Cuts to Woke Programs’ list?

America First?

Nah. They’re doing America Last.

It was!! At least online, and until the UK/Canada news just broke. Thank you @nytimes.com — keep it alive (and the bribe story too)

AI has no business trying to take over the creative arts — we humans can do just fine with that, thanks — but based on this exchange I just spied on the other platform, there does seem to be an impish sense of humor at play. Better than G’s other, nefarious personas of late!

just took a peek at that other platform. saw this guy asking Grok if someone’s points about how the bill is terrible are true…it basically said yes.

this guy then asked it about Democratic presidents’ bills…and here’s Grok’s reply.

kind of satisfying, in a vast and hollow way

Will sleep better tonight knowing Bobby is on top of things with that tiny round tummy and those wide, menacing paws

Pleased to see that the headline and subhead of this story do not sugarcoat

Sucks that we don’t have a single word stronger than ‘sucks’ that encapsulates the dismalness, the injustice, the cruelty, of having to live through this

Sorry about the number, got it from US News, maybe the discrepancy is eligible voters who abstained vs registered who abstained

It’s so disappointing. This is currently buried as the 8th headline down from the top of the app and the story does not do justice to the magnitude or momentum, in my opinion.

Yes. One of my favorite pieces of yours, though I wish it weren’t so.

When he announced one cabinet nominee after the other with zero credibility/experience or worse, it became crystal-clear: he *wants* to hurt us. All of us. That realization made me cry for 2 wks then. Now numb with rage.

Out on a walk one day, I had the most magical encounter with a manatee in Biscayne Bay and learning that their protections are being threatened is utterly devastating.
