Er problemet ikke lidt de voksne, der både får børn og realkreditlån med deres kærester, men ikke bliver gift? Så tænker de unge, der er vi trods alt ikke, og kalder det alt muligt andet end det pludseligt så officielt lydende "kærester"

This is a rare W for Musk. We have a lot of land so it's irrelevant that nuclear takes up less land for anything grid connected. Nuclear subs is an edge case who can afford to pay a premium for their power.

One obvious problem with the MattY take is that if you want to confront the right by engaging with them, you also encourage them to lean even more to the right to get more engagement. This seems exactly like the opposite of how we should meet the moment

Probably not big markets for prestige vehicles, just markets where I think BYD have a better idea about what's needed and where fast charging or long range might actually be something that makes or breaks the experience (as opposed to EU where it's solved with ample infrastructure)

It'll also be interesting to see the setup when you have the first mofos trying to reach the south pole in an EV. Probably a setup with some mobile solar panels, that get set up wherever the convoy stops and sets up camp. Probably incentivises long range (but not necessarily super quick charging)

I'm thinking more about the Australian outback, Latin America, Africa, etc, where logistics mean you might not get super chargers dotted neatly along major highways through PPPs as elsewhere

I was thinking of markets ex-China, where super long range might be a factor in the competition. And I think BMWs hope is that they can sell their car to people who are used to buying BMWs, might still be plenty of those people

I’m curious about the actual charging behavior though. Because one reason to have higher power charging could be so you need fewer chargers, which could be needed in some BYD markets, whereas the BMW buyers will always find a free charger where they stop for a break in their markets

Exactly. The reason we don’t build more nuclear is because of physics, not activists, and the proof is that even countries without a lot of activists still pick renewables over nuclear for price and speed reasons

Ja, eller tage til Canada, Mexico eller Caribien i stedet. Der kan også være flyselskaber, der omlægger ruter til at flyve udenom USA i stedet for f.x. at tilbyde forbindelser via Miami som tidligere. Jeg har været meget i USA, men kan godt styre mig med de nuværende toner derovrefra

Ja, kommunen kan jo påvirke tilflytningen ganske meget og en fremskrivning vil altid være følsom overfor på hvilken side af kommunegrænsen tilflyttere lander

Det er også en pæn vild antagelse fra DSTs side. Især da der jo stadig kan komme andre flygtningegrupper senere, selvom ukrainerne rejser igen

Altså, DST kigger nok mere nøgternt på tallene end kommuner, der har en interesse i at skrue forventningerne for lige deres kommune op for bedre at kunne lave de projekter, de i forvejen ønskede. Meget af tilflytningen til byerne er strukturel, men der er stadig en del, der er induced demand
