Gandhi like many ppl was multi faceted. Take Trump. It appears the 1st peace agreement has been signed between Hamas & Israel. Does it make up for the bad things Trump's doing? No. But this is better than anything Biden did for Gaza.

According to an eye witness in this story, yes, chn were zip-tied in the raid. So the actual photo I reposted wasn't accurate, but it's happening.

The original poster misframed this from a video of a policeman dad chasing his toddler & handcuffing him in "fun". However, imo handcuffing a child is wrong bc it normalises mistreatment. It shows how many ppl like to spread misinfo which will worsen with AI.

The original poster on Bsky misframed this image from a video of a policeman dad handcuffing in "jest" his toddler. However, imo handcuffing is never OK bc it normalises mistreatment. It also shows how easy disinfo is spread which AI will worsen.

Yes. I've read all Catherine's books. I've seen her speak at several R&Ws festivals too. She has beautiful long red curly hair. Her latest The Book of Guilt, reminded me of Kazuro Ishiguro's Never Let Me Go. Chilling. But they all are. She seems very normal in interviews!

I'm still shocked that a dad thought it was OK to put handcuffs on his toddler like that. Why not just pick him up? It worries me how it normalises handcuffing chn for minor offences.

Agreed. I've seen lots of verified videos of ppl being grabbed by ICE & manhandled. From politicians to ppl simply walking down the street.
It's scary how cruel some people can be when given permission to behave badly with no consequences. ICE & IDF. Do you think ppl actually voted for this?

Apparently, it's not ICE but a policeman dad. Still, it's a horrible thing to do to a kid. It also shows how easy it is to post disinfo & this will worsen with AI. When AotearoaNZ removed reasonable force as a defence 4 parents to hit, bible bangers screamed spare the rod...

The Silence Seeker by Ben Morley was about asylum. The little boy misheard "He's an asylum seeker" as "a silence seeker". Sad and funny.
