Human rights are universal - if we start stripping away basic human rights from any section of society then none of us has rights – just privileges that can be taken away by people in power whenever they want. Would we really want to take that path?

The rule of law?
Between 2005-12, 8711 people got indefinite prison sentences for minor offences.
One person 12 yrs in prison for stealing a phone.
700 served 10 yrs longer than their tariff.
2,796 still in prison.
Hard criminals, with lawyers, roam free.

Whatever happened to the ‘rule of law’ in the UK?
Even if people can get access to the courts, at best they will get an interpretation of law, not justice.
