As a Chaos Switch, I'll admit the fandom (and I) struggle with this. Maybe some of it's simple "but you said the other day ..." confusion but some of it just feels rude or oddly competitive.

I think the best way to think about most of my characters is as actors. There's some of them in every role/story, but many of them have a big range.

At their core most of them are more or less good people and the more extreme stuff is an in-universe fantasy. Even sworn enemies on the page hang out.
