I agree with you, yeah. I think here it depends on the sport and how established the league is. Are people in cities without teams already watching this league? For CFL and NHL, they are. It’s hard to compare it globally because most clubs are many decades old & most countries love ⚽️ more than us.

The only person trying to rewrite history is Wade Miller. “There weren’t enough of them”, except there were more than enough when the team was doing well and playing in exciting matches. All he needed to do was fund and support a competitive team. Instead, he lies about it:

3-4k was also the club at its worst. During the most exciting times - the inaugural season & when the team was in the playoff race in 2021 - attendance was 5k+. Even moderate success/excitement brought a sustainable crowd. But WFC refuses to put 2 & 2 together and acts like nobody ever came.

They want everyone to forget this club existed, Bartley. Merchandise has all been ‘donated’ (to the garbage can behind the stadium, I suspect) without giving anyone a chance to buy something. Social media has been wiped and deleted. It’s only been 3 days. It’s a disgrace.

Yes totally agree. They can co-exist nicely it seems. Makes the Canadian Championship more legit as well.
