Sibear grinding was paaaaain... I think I just put some video on Youtube. I'd also suggest finding a Fissure mission so you can be getting something else while doing too.

A friend more tuned in with some of this has said it's also about not being able to use Amps with things like Spellstrike. Which sounds like it was never intended to be used with them in the first place.

A) Eagerly awaiting and reacting to new content.

Might be less satisfying, but could try to introduce them as a more distant NPC, a questgiver's bodyguard, for instance. Or an official or shopkeeper that the PCs regularly interact with. Or even come up with a whole parallel party that occasionally crosses paths with the PCs every so often.
