She co-founded the Kentucky Coalition of African American Arts & serves as a founding member of the Louisville Arts Council. A few years ago Louisville’s Smoketown’s neighborhood created a mural in her honor & the Kentucky Center for African American Heritage dedicated a bust.

Don’t know if you are still battling a cough - but this worked wonders for me (the blue one specifically)
during the day & some nights (I wound up having to get a prescription of lean 😫) but I only took that at night, cause… I’m not with the drowsy during day/work hours

I am currently reading Sheila Johnson’s memoir & have come away with a deep respect for her journey. She may have been in the background but her wisdom & insight is definitely worthy of the spotlight.

Caught the moon on top of me 🤗 tried to capture its beauty w/ a 📸 & it looked like I took the pic in the middle of high noon - tried in pano mode & couldn’t quite catch it it all its wonder. There is a 🌟 not far from it that doesn’t seem to reflect in the photo 😞

Didn’t realize we’re a little over year since Nikki’s passing & was reminded of it today🥹 I had a Friends-mas today & gave one of my dear friends this book b/c she loves Nikki’s poetry. Even though her physical being is sorely missed - we at least still have her words🫶🏾
