For 249 yrs Americans never joked about a president being a king; it is un-American, anti-American. Americans never even thought a President would put a crown on his head, even if he thought it was a joke. Because it isn’t funny. Now we have a president who can’t stop dreaming of a crown.

I think we will learn pretty quickly who is right and who is wrong. I suspect AFGE will be right. I hope not, but this is not a normal situation, and Trump has shown nothing but contempt for our Constitution and our laws.

This is a test. He’s watching the reaction of Congress, the media, citizens: if there isn’t a strong reaction and condemnation, especially by Republicans, that’s it. He will have confirmed he can do whatever he wants. We all need to call our reps.
