This was always my position—a *lifetime* ban, meaning the lifetime of the banned player. This denied Rose the chance to bask in anything close to full adulation while a living person. HoF & other entities are free to consider honoring his accomplishments on the field, now that he will not benefit.

Saw a wonderful Tony-nominated play last night, “John Proctor is the Villain”. As a bonus, I saw @georgetakei.bsky.social taking a selfie with fans at the back of the theater before the show & got to shake his hand & wish him a Happy Birthday! Hope he enjoyed the play. 🎭
