I thought that came from the ADHD part of the AuDHD, as some autistic folks I know find it more or less easy to "stop" thinking, but if I try, here comes the anxiety (also because I'm not supposed to fidget while "relaxing" which, obviously, makes the need for fidgeting stronger).
