In my many years of research experience I found that, while it’s true many of us understate our weight, pretty much all men overstate their height. So he’s probably more like 5’2”

Fwiw, when a 60yo man suffers a pathological fracture of the hip it can mean a few things. Top 2 — osteoporosis and abnormally low testosterone. And possibly worse.
That latter problem may explain some things
