Formchange like modes that instead makes your moveset entirely combo attacks with donald/goofy would be sick.
I find it weird that despite how much emphasis it puts on sora needing donald and goofy, KH3 is where they are at their most useless and ignorable.

This is actually one of the few things I like about prime 4. Iirc this only really happens between duke and Armstrong. I found it a cool way to show how close and familiar they are in a subtle way.

Yeah this is one of the things I think of when thinking of kh3's poor general combat feel. Doesn't help that all osaka era games (except re:com & re:mind) are mostly filled with sluggish and bad contextual moves. They are usually worse than walking/air sliding to the enemy and attacking would be.

Actually maybe change most to a lot. I haven't paid much attention to the reviews the game has gotten but I think it's been mostly positive. So very possible I'm in the minority and I'm just very biased.

It just makes me sad. Despite enjoying the game I just felt depressed like halfway through.

There's also the fact 2&3 are compromised because of external factors (2's tiny dev time and 3 being for Wii users with motion controls) and are considered worse or so so as metroidvanias. Even if they re-released 2&3 I think most people would be sad 4 doesn't attempt to capture the same magic of 1.

But you say this like p4 isn't more devolved than even p3. Played 2&3 last week and they felt like metroid. Minus the controls most of p4 didn't even feel like a Metroid game to me.

Not even that. It's been long time since I played it so I'm not sure if the analogy is rock solid, but I keep feeling like prime 4 is beyond good and evil in disguise.

Please do rainy turtoloid first lol. You don't want your first time with that stage to be with nightmare effects. Also the game doesn't say this but once a nightmare effect is activated it never goes away. The boss icon being red only shows that a new effect has been activated for that stage.

Undecided between if this means voice acting is the most expendable part of video games, or if trav is currently fighting the Lovecraftian horrors.

It's always funny when a game retroactively adds achievements later on, or there are achievements for different games in a collection. Automatically get some of the 'rarest' achievements for doing mostly mundane things.

Doesn't steam input let you tie commands to specifically releasing a button? I've never tried anything like this but maybe you have to tie releasing the d-pad buttons to some sort of neutral state for the mouse?

Would you have any idea if DS piracy being accessible and prevalent at the time would have also affected mega man? I wouldn't be surprised if that eat up all of the remaining non-fans customer base that wouldn't have been turned off by this sentiment. (e.g kids without a lot of disposable income).

Out of curiosity, have you ever played a version of the first game not on 3ds? It got a retranslated script that is more accurate, natural, doesn't cut out a bunch of dialogue and isn't also filled with 'gack' lol. (GV2 unfortunately never got this treatment)
