Another 3 miles tonight. Getting back in my distance groove once more.

Still tight in a few areas, not sure if I pulled something or if it’s just getting older. Either way, finishing the workout with a good stretch session.

Did a 3 mile light jog.

Easing back in to things.

Consistency matters. It doesn’t have to be perfect, we just have to get in the habit of doing it.

3 mile walk tonight.

Confession time: I tripped on the treadmill a few weeks back and hurt myself a bit. Mostly skin taken off. Was avoiding it for awhile, partly dread and partly annoyance.

Back to mileage though. Gotta remain steady.

I’ve been feeling really stuck recently.

Had some big life events happen that threw me off my life “groove” and I just haven’t been able to shake this.

I just… I think I need something to work towards again. And I’ve lost that currently.

Another 5 miles completed. 204 miles for the year. Bit faster than yesterday.

My legs were sore from the weights workout earlier, so it took some time to get the muscles loose and moving.

Finding a little good each day, making myself a bit better, even if it’s a small step.

5 more miles, 199 miles for the year.

Something about running makes all the worries fade and lets me focus on the good stuff. Let’s me look forward to how I can be better and do better.

Just gotta keep putting in the effort. It’s not a one and done kind of thing.

Walked 3 miles on the treadmill carefully.

Yesterday was a medical procedure, so I’m taking it easy. But I’m still getting after it. Slowly.

Why did I think doing 6 miles was a good idea tonight? I don’t know. But I did it and it sucked. A lot.

(Also, got to meet my 100 miles for the month goal and sickness set me back)

Workout over. That sucked. Stupid shuttle runs and dumbbell snatches.

But it was necessary.

Dreading it and putting it off wasn’t going to make it better. Doing it now means I can start working on improving again.

After being sick for an extended period of time (5 days), it takes a concentrated effort to get back in to the gym.

Finally got myself back on the treadmill.

It was rough after my sickness, but glad to finally get going again.

Walked 3 miles tonight, 15 min/mile pace.

Total for the year: 176 miles.

Time to start picking back up!

I have slept more in the past 72 hours during the day than I do in a single night. I really do not like being sick.

I’m ready to be better now please.

Just finished a 5 Mile run, maintaining a 9:30 min / mile pace.

Smelled a little burning at one pace on the treadmill, which is a bit concerning. Have to get that checked out.

That being said, nothing refreshes and refocuses the mind better than a run in the evenings.
