It’s that time of year that I make my pilgrimage to London for the #CBIAS2025 and its trilogy of Ps: presentations, posters and panel discussions. But first I did some exploring…

Summary: The CD7 is central for the more advanced imaging says. Certainly harnessing a lot of AI tools #CD7-UGM
April 25, 2025 at 10:30 AM
Another industry presentation showcasing the usage of the Celldiscoverer 7 within a commercial context. Presenter is James Dodgson from @astrazeneca.bsky.social #CD7-UGM

Lots of useful features on the machine but there’s also lots to teach. However, opening the doors to new experiments and new workflows for users. #CD7-UGM ready correlative imaging widefield/LSM built in.

Next up, a double act from @uniofnottingham.bsky.social presenting their experience imaging across scales on their two CD7 machines #CD7-UGM
April 25, 2025 at 8:34 AM
Reproducible imaging with minimised number of black pixels through guided acquisition. Low magnification overview image, detecting objects via analysis pipeline followed by detailed imaging of detected objects, e.g. though LSM. #CD7-UGM

We have lift off on day 2 of our #CD7-UGM kicking off with a presentation of Volker Döring from @zeiss-microscopy.bsky.social Talking about Advanced workflow for CD7 - from cell profiling to 3D cell Culture screening.

The model does the heavy lifting sifting through a massive haystack of needles and less identified events need to be checked by the human in the loop. #CD7-UGM there are some patterns to be recognised within the populations of false positives. But also, what is truly binary in biology?
April 24, 2025 at 3:23 PM
Manual annotation is time consuming and not feasible for high throughput. Fluorescent probes also have negative side effects, mo channels mo problems. Also a lot of drugs are {highly} fluorescent. #CD7-UGM
AI to scale up rare event detection? Also scalable and sustainable? A big task…
