However, he was one of the first prominent figures to use a mechanical device known as the polygraph (copying press), which duplicated his handwritten documents. This copying device used a system of connected pens to replicate handwriting in real time.

1️⃣ Autopen use is legally established—Bush, Obama, Trump, & Biden have all used it
2️⃣ The DOJ ruled in 2011 that it’s legal for signing while outside D.C
3️⃣ Pardons don’t require a specific signature format
4️⃣ Trump used it too

This is a political strategy, not a legal crisis.
