It's okay to experience FOMO and not have to do something about it. You can't purchase everything, and that's okay.

The world says: “BUY NOW, or you’ll miss out!”
God says: “BE STILL and trust Me.”

You know that little dopamine rush you get when you buy something new? Science says it lasts 20 minutes.

Good news: But the joy of the Lord? That lasts forever. (Psalm 16:11)

Sis, you’re already blessed beyond measure. You woke up today. You have what you need. You have a God who provides. Let’s stop shopping from a place of lack when we serve a God of abundance. (Philippians 4:19)

Stop letting sales trigger you. Or influencers, social media ads, trendy items, what your friends and family have, what society says you should have, etc.

Maybe we’re craving Christ more than we crave that next Amazon order.

That little voice that whispers, "I deserve this" after a rough day? It’s a trap. Contentment isn’t found at checkout—it’s found in Christ. Today, let’s pause before swiping our cards and ask: Am I buying peace, or do I already have it in Him?

Try this. The next time the urge hits to buy something that's unnecessary, pray FIRST. Wait 3 days. Spend AFTER. If it’s truly a need, it’ll still be there.

That new purchase feeling? It fades.

God’s peace? Free. That impulse buy? Overpriced regret. Because most times, that's what we feel after we've bought something on impulse - regret, shame, guilt.

Let’s be real. Emotions make terrible money managers. Stress spending. Boredom spending. “Treat yourself” spending. That $50 impulse buy won’t heal what only God can.

"Keep your life free from the love of money, and be content with what you have, for He has said, ‘I will never leave you nor forsake you.’" — Hebrews 13:5

Your feelings are expensive. Sometimes, it leads you to spend money impulsively on needless items.

I've got a different kind of shopping for you. Instead of buying another thing, try buying into:
-Gratitude (1 Thessalonians 5:18)
-Stewardship (Luke 16:10)
-Peace over pressure (Philippians 4:6-7)
Because the more we seek things, the less we see God’s provision.

Many of us spend impulsively because we're not grateful for what we already have. When we practice gratitude, we become more content. When we're content, we quickly determine what's a need and what's a want.

Retail therapy is a lie. It causes clutter, regret, and financial woes.

What is your go-to when you are bored? Do you know that a lot of folks impulse spend when they're bored? The next time you leave your house so go window shop, ask yourself, 'Am I bored?'

Gamify your spending. Go to the store with a list. Cross off items as you add them to the cart. After you've picked up the last item, go straight to checkout.

So, it took Target removing their DEI policies to make you realize that you don't need to be there several times a week making unnecessary purchases? Proud of you anyway.

We impulse spend when we believe it's a good deal, and that, within itself, is a marketing tactic.

Impulse shopping is spontaneous, but it is a decision. In just a matter of seconds, an impulsive purchase can take a chunk out of the funds in your account.

Impulse spending is often triggered by something you see or are influenced to feel by your surroundings. How have you been triggered into impulse spending?

The first step in changing your spending habits is to understand what compels you to spend. Impulse spending is the unplanned purchase of anything–including services, goods, experiences, and digital products.

If you are impulse spending to scratch the itch of your boredom, you might be setting yourself up for some spending problems, as well as some disappointment when the boredom inevitably returns.
