The MMC R&D Team has recently published the OpenAT Design Guide! This guide is a collection of best practices and dimensions for designing using common MMC components. The guide is always evolving, and we encourage the community to add to it as well.

Priscilla, who is five years old, received an adapted paint spinner from our #HackingForTheHolidays campaign. The adapted paint spinner allowed Priscilla to press a switch to paint Christmas ornaments for her family.

We recently welcomed aboard our latest GAME Checkpoint, the Alvin Buckwold Child Development Program. Last week, we trained 15 clinicians at Alvin Buckwold in adaptive gaming, and we’re excited to bring in another GAME Checkpoint focused on pediatrics.

On Thursday, we had a great time adapting toys with @aircanada.bsky.social staff. The Air Canada Foundation has been a huge supporter of our #HackingForTheHolidays campaign, having donated $30,000 to help make play accessible for kids with disabilities. We are incredibly grateful for their support.

For #IVD2025, we wanted to share a great story on Dante, a Clubs That Care youth leader, who teamed up with his alma mater, the Southern Alberta Institute of Technology (SAIT), to host a #HackingForTheHolidays build event, making 150 low profile switches.

Cameron David, a personal trainer in the Lower Mainland, and his friend, a handyman also named Cameron, have started their own #HackingForTheHolidays fundraising page and pledged to run a kilometre each for every $50 raised, with the goal of raising $2,000 and running 40 km.

Earlier this month, we did a #HackingForTheHolidays build with the FIRST Robotics Cyber Eagles team in Sherwood Park. Thanks to Dow Canada for purchasing the toys for the build. In all, 15 paint spinners were built & 13 Bluey toys were adapted, all to be donated to local children with disabilities.

When students at Gretna Green School learned they would be building switches for kids with disabilities for our Hacking for the Holidays campaign, they felt inspired to take it one step further, taking the initiative to raise over $500 for our campaign.

An amazing story from the University of Toronto Department of Occupational Science & Occupational Therapy on students Jacob, Tenzin, Maddy, and Tali, who helped Mike, a gamer with a spinal cord injury, design a set-up to allow him to game on his own again.

We're proud to support the Cerebral Palsy Association of BC’s Gamers Club initiative, bringing accessible gaming to people with cerebral palsy in BC. Accessible Gaming Lead Tyler Fentie conducted assessments for participants, while Clubs That Care volunteers donated devices.
