I received the best compliment yesterday as I was finishing these cupcakes up. Our bartender came back to get a measuring cup and told me that “it smelled like the best scratch and sniff sticker back here right now”!

Our “wonderful” neighbors stole our food delivery tonight. Delivered to the wrong house first of all, told us someone with kids came out to accept the delivery. Um, we don’t have young kids. We got a refund, but seriously? Our porch light is on, address is on our house, name is on the order. UGH!

Nooooooooooooo!! 🥺😭 RIP Oscar’s biggest lemon that he’s given us so far (just about an inch long). Dave just came inside from taking the dogs outside and handed me this and said “I’m sorry. I found this lying on the porch.”

My candy corn gnomes are a bit, erm, unfortunately shaped, but are much cuter when they are decorated!

A few more things I found going through my in-law’s things! If that mushroom cookie jar doesn’t sell at our yard sale on Saturday, it’s going to live here. I’m not sure where to put it, but it it can stay if it needs to!

I just can’t escape them now! Two more orders for the nesting doll cookies like the ones I made for that huge order at the end of May (not nearly that many this time, one order is a dozen the other is 55 cookies).

We’re getting Dave measured for a foot brace today. He has developed drop foot (resulting in several near falls and one fall in a parking lot). He will need back surgery to open up the space where the stenosis is the worst and to clean out the crud in his lower back, but that will be later this year

Last night we said farewell to Dave’s mom, Judy after a brief fight with a very aggressive cancer. We may not have always gotten along, but that didn’t make me love her any less! She will be missed!
