I feel like a lot of us (especially white) men are just now fully realizing what women and people of color have been telling us *forever*. It might not even be as shocking for many of them as it is for us, because this is just another in a long stream of absurdly unfair disappointments.

The MAGA cult at least showed me that the magical experiences I thought I was experiencing as a Christian were nothing special. Just psychological manipulations, like brainwashing (confirmation bias), shared delusions (oxytocin), fantasies (dopamine/serotonin), fear-mongering(cortisol/adrenaline).

Western religion+Conservative rhetoric prioritize imaginary concepts (God,babies not even yet conceived,heaven/hell,a "great" America) over real people/places (women,POC,LGBTQ, immigrants,Gaza,etc). They can feel like the "good" guys just by praying, while vilifying those actually trying to help.

@calltoactivism.bsky.social I feel like it should be pointed out more often that Elon has openly said for years that he thinks we're in a simulation, and most people, if not everyone (except him), are "NPCs". We're not even real to this narcissist sociopath. Just digital toys in his own sick game.

One of my MAGA relatives started texting me out of the blue to gloat and regurgitate conspiracy theories. Every verified and cited source I sent him disproving his claims was dismissed as "Fake News". But since the Joe Rogan video he sent didn't change my mind, *I* was the one unwilling to listen 🤦🏼♂️
