Getting across the Pacific required refueling on an airstrip on a tiny island. Finding the island required radio with a nearby ship. Radio on the plane was either broken or tuned to a bad frequency because of miscommunication. She went in the wrong direction, ran out of fuel.

Oh yeah! I know there are behavioral therapies and those are great, as well as treating co-morbid illnesses, but unlike ADHD or depression or anxiety we just don't even have a grasp on the chemical part of it so to suggest fucking Tylenol causes it is... What?

Also, of course, it has nothing to do with Tylenol or vaccines; when we don't even understand the brain chemistry of autism it's so irresponsible to just guess on correlation even if there was a rise.

I think there are upsides and downsides to broadening the term, especially because (unlike, say ADHD or depression) there isn't really a treatment (I don't think). But there's no way anything changed in my lifetime. Just more people are getting a diagnosis.
