What would’ve been the appropriate sentence for Diddy?

My initial reaction is that 4 years is too low. But I’m also of the mindset that lengthy prison sentences nearly always cause more harm than good and are about punishment as opposed to restorative justice.

But yeah, 4 years is still too few.

Is anyone aware of any mutual aid or support programs for government employees impacted by the shutdown?

I want the Dems to hold their ground for as long as it takes, and we can help in that fight by trying to mitigate the harm to federal workers.

Agreed. I think it will be worse if they cave, but that doesn’t mean real people won’t suffer while the shutdown is happening. I’ve got friends that have federal jobs and that means no pay. And for essential staff, they still need to show up. Can’t even work another job. Mutual aid is must now.

I honestly wish I was more confident that the Dems won’t give in, but it’s like 50/50 right now.

With that said, if they hold firm, I could see this going longer than the last one, at least a month, and maybe close to Thanksgiving before the pressure gets to trump. Obviously hope GOP caves sooner.

Wow!!! That was a hell of a game. If you like basketball, you won’t get much better than that. I’m glad the MVP pulled it out, but mad respect to Sims and the rest of the Fever. If it wasn’t for them awful Fever fans, I might actually cheer for the team.
