All the pieces play with the iconic stained glass dome designed by Maurice Denis in 1913 and gracing the ceiling of the main auditorium. A timeless beauty.

It was a strange feeling saying goodbye to my dear old one - a super minimal portfolio website created back in 2013 in collaboration with ex colleague turned good friend @futurefabric.co - but I felt a decade was already a pretty decent achievement in this crazy world we live in 🫠

The chosen cover was my personal favourite (and my very first idea) playing with the insect as its shadow:

For the Metamorphosis the insect had to be center stage - there was no avoiding it this case - so I started researching insects, bugs and specifically cockroaches. Being a city girl and a self-confessed insectophob, it was painful to say the list but I came up with 4 concepts:

To put the cover in context a bit, going dark and gritty is pretty outside of my comfort zone and deep nature so I knew it would be tricky.

I had previously managed to dunk the challenge with both Dracula and Frankenstein (Doctor Frankie is as dapper as it gets…)
