Fountain pens can be tricky. They're messy, fragile, expensive, and then you have to get the right paper to match. But it's an extremely rewarding hobby if you can get past that and learn the paper/pen/ink triad. The Varsity is a disposable pen that costs about $4. And it writes GREAT.
