Was digging around on some ROM sites on Japanese forums and stumbled upon this obscure lil curiosity.

エデンの写真 or as it's apparently translated "Photos of Eden" for the PS1 back in 1996. It was a photography game with an interesting gimmick.

I found this bit from the instructional manual too where Leslie is trying to take a photo of a frog. Sadly the game was a decent success in Japan with even some merch made but apparently the US market wasn't interested.

Think of it like Pokemon Snap where you take various pictures of animals. Honestly it's a really cute game though I struggle a bit to get the finer details, though thankfully there are some english voice acting. I like that Leslie sounds a bit like Cooking Mama lol.

I found this sprite but the main protagonist is Dr. Leslie Pi. An animal behaviorist who, from what I see, has found "Eden Garden", where a wide variety of animals from different continents all exist. They typically run away from humans but she's been around so long that they don't run from her.
