People aren't really laughing at the 'gender affirming' portion of this, they are laughing at the stupidity and hypocrisy of people who see no issue with this, but then turn around and scream about other people's choices. It's so infuriating that it's laughing or having a rage seizure.

360 degree camera, they are pretty common on bikes now.

Memorials are for the dead. We can at least hope for that bit.

It's an example that is relatable to many people in the US. While he is talking about disfunction in general, the topic is more specific to the US, this the example there. Also, plenty of 'poor' people fly, domestically.

If you don't get it, then the point is not for you.

If you'd bothered to read those snippets you posed, you'd have noted that over 90 people have already been charged.

Your shrill stridency is not only laughable, but nothing you've offered has pointed at either a lack of investigation or more complicity by democrats or even republicans.

What's 'making dems look complicit' is the constant drumbeat accusations of fraud with no further evidence while also ignoring all the work to hold people accountable.

The fraud in the human services department that was detected, reported to the feds, and has past and ongoing prosecutions, with no real evidence of more major fraud? Meanwhile the ICE crackdown on our Somali community has been a waste and embarrassment for the feds?

Shocked that they keep reaching.

People always want something free, it's how they became google's, instagram's, twitter's, facebook's, tiktok's, etc... main product - they certainly aren't the actual consumers. Like chickens given free room and board thinking the coop is theirs.
December 16, 2025 at 5:12 PM
I tell people if they are going to get me things, get me things I have to dust. I prefer experiences and time. A nice dinner out and good conversation, I have most everything else I need.
December 16, 2025 at 4:35 PM
Lol, yup. I suggested getting rid of the truck when he was looking at mini's and he thought I was nuts bi was like you can always rent one when you need. Now that it's been a bit and the thing is costing him while sitting, he's coming around. My '12 Rav4 is a much (or more) car than I'll ever need.

Mastadon's structure is actually similar to Bluesky's in that it is a confederated decentralized protocol. The main difference is that Bluesky as a company is still proving a large majority of the service backend. Ultimately Social Media will end up costing the user - subscription or hardware.
December 16, 2025 at 4:30 PM
True, but I was less concerned with how far someone can tow, than what percentage of time Trucks actually spend towing. A friend has always had a truck and recently bought a mini because he's always like them, kept the truck because it was "needed". Truck hasn't moved in over a month.

I think the biggest benefit will be calming range fears - and in some cases actual issues for those living farther out of major infrastructure. But I'd also be interested to see how many F150s actually exceed 150 miles a day and their percentage of time spent towing.
December 16, 2025 at 4:00 PM
Yes, I was actually going to use Bluesky as an example, but you hit on exactly why I didn't. While bluesky is an app and currently one of the largest member/providers of service, at it's heart this platform is a confederation driven by protocol, not a monolithic entity.

I'm not sure there is a way to be a 'non-evil' competitor. It's like being an ethical billionaire.
December 16, 2025 at 3:52 PM
It's a 'sounds like the answer machine'. "AI" simply creates a response that apes the form of an actual answer. Once you understand that, it makes perfect sense as to why it fabricates quotes - because an actual answer would have a quote. It doesn't think or understand, it's a pattern formatter.

Keep on demonstrating how it's 'our enemies' that are dividing us, or maybe look in the mirror at your reaction to someone who didn't wholly agree with you.
December 8, 2025 at 2:39 AM
Oh, look. Enemies. Yup, totally someone else's plan to divide us.

And if you think Russia hasn't changed. Ooof

Having to declare bankruptcy was the real eye opener for me. Breaking a leg, and losing some of the income while I couldn't work was the straw on too much debt. I had to stare at the idea of NOT paying a debt - something society drill into us is bad - and confront my spending. It's been a slog.
December 8, 2025 at 12:17 AM
And as to 'our enemies' you should be very sure to verify that 'our enemies' are actually both of 'ours'.

The enemy of my enemy is the enemy of my enemy, nothing more and nothing less, and certainly not my friend.
December 8, 2025 at 12:02 AM
Lol 'our enemies' aren't 'enemies', they are profiteers who have no real grasp of long term or magnifying actions. Every Machiavellian schemer in history has thought they were smart enough to control the populace, and every one has been wrong. Some just ride it better.
December 7, 2025 at 11:59 PM
Lol, duh. That genie doesn't go back in the bottle, not matter what the 'plan' is
December 7, 2025 at 11:56 PM
Then they've fundamentally miss read the situation, and over-stoked the fire on both sides.
