my first 5 star read of the year (not including my Mistborn reread). Lisa See does historical fiction in such a captivating and authentic way.

#4: The Hero of Ages by Brandon Sanderson

wrapping up my re-read of arc 1 of the Mistborn series did not disappoint. this trilogy was my introduction to Sanderson and rereading with my current knowledge of the cosmere was very enjoyable

i was worried that these books wouldn’t live up to the massive hype…and i fear i was right. the world building was interesting but they were just too trope-y for my taste.
