🎸(2/2) CAPE GLOAM VIGNETTE #7: KILL THE GUITAR!💥
Marty continues to play, the light in his chest growing brighter, lighting his face from below. His lyrics go: "I'm afraid of my explosion / that peters out / as soon as I'm done / Singing'" & "How can I outlive all my feelings / etched into my bones / with this icepick / guitar pick" The scene changes. A surfboard, a table, a curtain, and a sign that says "open mic" are now visible. Marty continues to play, his expression intense, eyes squeezed closed. He is surrounded by white light, and his chest continues to glow brightly. His singing continues: "Pick-a pick / Pick-a pick / Pick-a strugge / Pick-a chord / Pick yer mind for / a two cents / i can't afford" The scene zooms out. Marty is on stage, his starlight shining beyond his chest, coming from his whole body, out shining even the spotlight on him. His three partners from his polycule watch from the audience. Marty sings: "Pick-a death row / final meal / in your guitar hole / pick-a pick / pick-a way to go / drop-hung / or drowned / or the ol' / same ol' / bullet hole" Marty finishes his song. Piers cheers, "Wooohooo!! You were sooo good!!" while sticks claps with a smile. (Charlie is also here, behind the two of them!) Marty begins to tear up a little, a smile forcing its way onto his face, in disbelief that he finally did it. He finally performed a song. (CHARACTER DEVELOPMENT YAY!!!)
