If I was a Lib Dem supporter in the south of England witnessing a Tory party shift even further to the Right I would be rubbing my hands with glee

Think of economic growth or GDP per head as a large sponge cake. The more the cake grows in size the more that can be divided up and spent on education/ health/ infrastructure etc

A disappointing comment and I say that as a Labour supporter

British-Pakistanis are upwardly mobile. They go to university at a very high rate. They may be socially quite conservative. Many run small businesses. They're increasingly suspicious of Labour.

But now they know the Tories think it would have been better if they had never come.

Frosty, Brexit was bad enough but your cackhanded attempt at negotiating an acceptable settlement made a bad situation worse. You are in no position to advise anyone
