I'm wondering who will win- local zoning or DOGE. If we cut social security, public housing and medicaid our parents and grandparents are going to need a new place to stay. By that I mean with their families. Public zoning for in-laws quarters is really hard to get passed.

Government should not be run like a business. It's entire establishment is to deliver goods and services to the taxpayers, which pay for the goods and services by paying taxes. Far too many seem confused about that.
