Totally agree. 40 yrs I taught diverse student groups in Brooklyn & Danbury CT -wrote memoir & shared their stories & mine. Talked in schools/colleges. Now my ideas r taboo- my multicultural life, becoming culturally competent, understanding student experiences=NAACP Excellence in Teaching Award

Unfortunately books like yours and mine which share truthful stories and are sensitive, quickly end up on the banned list. DEI is part of this nation.

As a retired educator, I taught wonderful autistic teens & know how important ur work is. I wrote one book, my memoir & included diverse student stories- one an autistic college student who is a violin virtuoso devoid of many social graces. Loved him & the thousands of others who tell their stories.
