Every once in a blue moon they actually code the character as trans and not someone cross dressing for convenience.

By the way, I really like the MC here. We start out confused because the story *about* him is so epic, and he's some bitter person who lies effortlessly. Like, so much *not a hero* - and we slowly are told his story - the character arc that we know exists is being revealed to us, and it's brilliant.
