Everyone is being very nice. I’m out. Bracket 3 is supposed to be a fun game. This is a social game. Smokestack is fun for one person and is not social.

Thankfully they played it early enough that everyone didn’t waste too much time.

My favorite deck is Grenzo. Let’s flip the bottom card card and see what happens!

When I play Gale, my GY is 3 columns: sorceries, instants, everything else. Made playing the deck so much easier to just glance over and know what you could get.

I also try to put upkeep activations, combat activations, etc., together on the board. Makes it easier to hit all my triggers.

Going to go full in on the bit. If, after 2 games it doesn’t get a chance to show off the silly, I’ll rehash to something with some a little more power.

I’m concerned that it won’t. I think my plan is to proxy the cards I don’t have and try it out a couple times. If it works, I’ll commit the cash. If not, I’ll go the other route.

It was hard for me. My tendency was always, “hold my beer.” I learned some empathy.

Do you have a pizza night every week/month? Make that into a "got through the week/month." Whether it's the young one who memorized a poem, or the teen who was a friend to someone sitting alone at school. The key is that no one minimizes anyone's event. For that night, every gets the same glory.

If players who played for content all played like someone who actually wanted to win, the games would be much longer and far less entertaining. Every "content" game has at least one player who swings out every time so life totals go down and everyone else has someone to attack.
