Thank you, I thought so. Gotta be honest he's another in the reserve judgement file from last summer.

Hey Tom, one other question. Do you know if the option on Hincapie is only an option in name and we are actually going to buy him for 50m this summer, or are we actually able to withdraw from the deal if we decide to go a different way?
January 26, 2026 at 4:37 PM
Tom, do you think we should review summer business at the end of each season? We were all rightfully excited by last summer's window but what felt like a 9/10 looks more like a 6/10 at present. Only Zubi and Mosquera have worked and the attacking ones are really not justifying the huge outlay.

Q For the #arsecastextra we all loved the summer recruitment at the time but have we been blinded by quantity over quality? Bar zubimendi and mosquera there are questions about all the other signings, especially the forwards who seem ill fitting to our style of play. @gunnerblog.bsky.social

Since beating spurs we've played 11 games, 3 draws, 2 defeats and 6 wins. Apart from the villa win at home, every game has been close or not particularly great.

V intrigued to see what happens if he doesn't improve. Arsenal typically can't afford a £60m flop

I think it's beyond a style issue. He is simply not at the level.

Easily the worst big money striker since Jeffers

In previous times we talked about how arsenal can't afford big money signings to flop (city for example just spend more if a player under performs). Do you think the current era of arsenal will be prepared to/are able to cut losses with gyokeres in the summer? #arsecastextra @gunnerblog.bsky.social

Probably the left winger

To answer your player ratings question - gyokeres is Swedish for chamakh

Stock falling Andrea Berta - quantity over quality

Something deeply and depressingly ironic about the free speech mongers with their comic sans "save the children" picket signs most likely sharing grok generated child porn on their "khan's London 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁥󠁮󠁧󠁿😡" telegram groups.

He's the worst big money striker signing since Jeffers. Question is can arsenal afford to do a city and just move on from him given the expenditure?
January 9, 2026 at 10:03 AM
Will you recalibrate your recalibration on big vik and concede we have signed a bum?
January 8, 2026 at 11:08 PM
Thoughts on having a Championship level striker the year we look to win a championship?
January 8, 2026 at 10:31 PM
Start gyokeres against pompey? Probably his level.
January 8, 2026 at 10:23 PM
He's absolutely not at the level. Worst big money striker since Jeffers. We have to hope kai can get up to speed quickly as I don't think Jesus can start games tbh

Good leadership skills from rice and good to see unity amongst the playing staff

Lovely bit of gyok slander early on

I was replying to a piece about the analysis of the action. Anyhow perfectly fine to be optimistic. I really do hope he comes good.
