According to MIT (livingwage.mit.edu), the living wage in my county is $18.84/hr for a single adult. I make $17/hr at one of the largest group of insurance companies in the country. I'm down to eating ramen noodles but asking for a raise outside of the annual reviews would be rude... 😒
