TBF, it's not new, I read a Mills & Boon (pulp romance) decades ago of of boredom & it straight up lifted the plot of Rebecca by Daphne du Maurier. But yep, Amazon has mainstreamed that big time.

I mean, you can't rely on those AI summaries to even summarise from the most authoritative/reliable sites, let alone get facts right, so I rarely bother with them& scroll in down to the search results. Hopefully I'm not an isolated case of using common sense. 🤷♀️🤞🤞

So sorry you got to that point, and I wish all the best to you. Sometimes removing yourself from a situation is the best thing to do. There's always financial reasons to stay, but you respected yourself enough to protect yourself. Thank you for sharing this & for prioritising your health & life.
