This. Sidewalks are infrastructure and need to be accessible as quickly as possibly after a snow event. And I’d add more than just the elderly - kids and adults of all ages use mobility devices, have vision impairments, or 1000 other reasons to need a clear sidewalk.
What's missing is the perspective of the elderly and/or financially strapped person walking to and from the bus stop every day, hoping an uncleared sidewalk doesn't put them in the hospital or worse.
