And "Minnesota" didn't commit fraud. A small number of people in Minnesota did. This is like saying the fire department should let your house burn down because someone on your block had illegal fireworks last July.

They should just rename ICE "daddy's special soldiers" and it over with.
(I'll also note that "bodyguard" is not in ICE's job description or "training". If I were Vance, I wouldn't *want* anyone but the Secret Service.)

With no ID and no uniform, how are they claiming to be "law enforcement"?

Why was it *vital* for ICE to risk the firefighting efforts *and their own agents* to arrest these men *now*?
Why not let the firefighters exhaust themselves for 12-18 hours and then arrest them?

And for what?
Being undocumented in the US is a civil misdemeanor.
Would you send 6 cops to an active fireline to arrest two people for unpaid parking tickets?

An active fire line at a wildfire is no place for ICE. Any agency that's not actually fighting the fire needs to stay the hell away.
Extra vehicles block the road, extra people get in the way, etc. It's reckless, and no misdemeanor is worth the danger.

It's perfectly consistent if you look at that way.
